J. David George

J. David George is the President and Senior Wealth Manager with George Wealth Management Group, Bedford, Indiana. He received his B.S. with a finance concentration from Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business before becoming a Financial Advisor and Senior Investment Management Specialist with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Indianapolis, Indiana. After a sixteen-year career there, Mr. George returned to Bedford, Indiana, where he founded George Wealth Management Group. By partnering with LPL Financial, the nation’s largest independent broker dealer**, David is able to better serve clients by utilizing LPL’s vast unbiased resources.

David has been recognized as a “FIVE STAR Wealth Manager” on more than one occasion. This distinction is awarded annually to less than 7% of wealth managers in the Indianapolis metropolitan area with David once again being recognized in the October 2014 issue of Indianapolis Monthly.

David was featured in the 25th anniversary edition of “Registered Representative” (July 2001), for his role in resurrecting his hometown’s Fourth of July parade and how he led a successful statewide grassroots campaign to have a U.S. Air Force B-2 Stealth Bomber named after his state to honor Indiana’s contribution to our nation’s defense and aviation heritage. He was instrumental in securing a Northrop Grumman manufactured model of a Stealth Bomber that weighs over 800lbs. and has a 22 ft. wingspan for the Indiana World War Memorial Museum in Indianapolis, Indiana. Currently, he is a member and past president of the Bedford Lions Club, Sons of the American Revolution, The Society of Indiana Pioneers, Southern Indiana Chapter of the Air Force Association, Financial Services Institute and currently serves on the Board of the Bedford North Lawrence Scholarship Foundation, Inc.

David was presented the key to the City of Bedford in 1997, a special “Spirit of Indiana” award from the Indiana State Air Force Association in 2000, Bedford Chamber of Commerce’s “Community Service Award” in 2000, and served as the Grand Marshal of the Limestone Heritage Festival Parade in 2002.

Mr. George and his wife Susan have two children and live in Bedford, Indiana.
